For this collection for my Handbag II class, I was inspired by the old west. I looked at vintage saddle bags and canteens to pull silhouettes and details. I also took the idea of a papoose, a bag used by different Native American tribes to carry a baby, as a way to carry a bag around without having to hold it. I also used wood stained turquoise, yellow or red as a large portion of each bag, both as a decorative element and a structural support.
