For this journalistic project, I needed to capture documentary based portraits. I am currently in the process of working and capturing images for a book I will be printing soon, which displays awareness toward pregnancy and infant loss. Each of these women (and men) have lost their precious babies and I want to share their stories.
This project was a great challenge for me as I had to go into "strangers" homes and document a piece of their life that was so painful to express. Yet in the mix of harsh realities, me and the families were able to work together to break down social barriers so that we could capture images that gave these lost infants' a voice -- to speak a story that never got to be told.
