The Western Province Blood Transfusion Service is a non-profit, independent organisation operating throughout the Western Cape. We work without prejudice to supply safe blood and blood products to all communities in the region, from Cape Town all the way up to George. It’s our goal to be the benchmark transfusion service in South Africa – and we’re getting there, with the help of our dedicated donors.
Problem:
The number of people donating blood has dropped and the blood banks are getting low on supplies.
Insights:
One bag of blood saves 3 lives. People know this, but there is no face to the number.

Our plan: Create a Guerrilla Marketing campaign. We wanted to hijack attention from iconic spots in major cities around South Africa using these billboard frames.

Handouts: Creating these translucent cards that allows people to hold up the frame wherever they are. Can also peeled off and pasted on any glass surface - office window, bus window and more.
