Carbon is a new series of mixed media works featuring graphite. Stitched and stiffened fabrics on wood panels are given a coat of graphite and burnished to bring out the materials sheen. My inspirations from natural forms continues in this new body of work, and the stiffening and coating evokes a sense of a moment frozen in time.
