A 3-D design class at Pacific Lutheran University offered me my first chance to work in clay for an assignment to create a set prop. I chose to base my sculpture on Susan’s horn from the Chronicles of Narnia. Porcelain was used to create the structure. A metallic finish was used on the mouthpiece and handles. A dry brush technique on the head and base of the mouthpiece topped it off, giving the impression of carved ivory.
