These illustrations are mock-concept art for a sci-fi novella "Fungal Garden," a story of mysterious murder case. First piece was to depict the murder scene described in the story, and second piece was to elaborate on the nature of fungus. For the first one, since the novella was concentrating heavyily on suspense and darkness dark color palette with desaturated blue as the strongest tone was used. While the second image also has strong blue tone, it was kept a lot lighter to emit mysterious tone. Rough textures and grunges were used to describe the low gravity of the story.
