Evidence-Based Practice

Infection Control/Hand Hygiene- Evidence has indicated that hand washing by healthcare providers, patients, and staff members significantly decreases the number of microbes on our hands that contribute to hospital acquired infections. This is also an important practice to promote in the community.
Early mobilization of hospitalized patients- Evidence has shown early mobilization after procedures/surgeries increases functionality, mobility, strength, and psychological outlook on healing.
These basic evidence-based practices can greatly impact the quality of patient care, both inside and outside of the hospital.
