This image was taken in a school classroom located in Jagdishpur village of Haryana, India. Young girls still face trouble, in many parts of the country, in obtaining education. To be able to witness girls sitting in a classroom, interacting with the teachers and asking questions built up the context to this photograph. This image depicts the sound of freedom, freedom from restrictions and towards empowerment and growth. This to me is the sound of not just a mere classroom but, it is the sound of a promising future.
