This week I mainly focused on my second water color project, a landscape of a mountain scene. Acrylics were introduced as another possible media but I am planning on starting to work with those next week after I add final touches to this. I was inspired by the practice we did in class (picture 1) and so found some paintings on pinterest (last two photos) to pull ideas from. Originally, my sloppy copy was too small for the SRQ ariport contest so I free handed it a bit to fit the 12x18 paper. I made a mistake in copying the sketch onto the wrong side of the paper and realized the next class after i began painting so i flipped it over and began again. I still need to add finishing touches to the dirt, trees and mountains next class but then it will be done.
