Kish-Kash Mobile + Desktop Nav Homepage Redesign

KISH-KASH REDESIGN
USER GOAL: FIND THE MENUS! (I'm hungry)
*This project was created for fun/educational purposes to explore navigation usability and page styles. All images and logos belong to Kish-Kash, a great Couscous bar in NYC!
Before (Kish-Kash's current site):
https://www.kishkashnyc.com/

I was looking around for a navigation on the site because I wanted to check out Kish-Kash's menu. Could not find it until I realized that the left bar was a nav. This inspired me to re-design Kish-Kash's homepage to make the navigation more usable.
After:
With a few simple on-brand tweaks, the navigation is now in clear view! I can now find the menu easily.
Before (Kish-Kash's Current Mobile View):
I find the home and hamburger menus hard to see. White on the light blue causes accessibility problems. The orange isn't visually striking as well. Overall, I am not a fan of the left bar navigation, even on mobile because it's not accessible or usable.
After:
I streamlined the navigation into a simple hamburger (similar to what exists). The hamburger and navigation are visually distinct, leading the user to find the menus easier.
