Intro to Graphic Design, Fall 2017: Book Cover
Summary
This project was assigned for Intro to Graphic Design of Fall 2017 at Weber State University as our first project during the course. This project required us to create a original book cover based on a contour drawn portrait.
This was both a project of basic graphic design and illustration, creating the portrait first and then deciding on an overall design with visual elements to incorporate whatever genre the book was. In this case, "Poesy for Peyotes" is a contemporary poetry book.

Process
After initial sketches, pencil on paper, it was edited in Adobe Photoshop, then the portrait and visual elements were worked in through Adobe Illustrator.
