Ligature Journal Issue 2: Design for good
Ligature Journal is an ongoing collaboration between Tiliqua Press and a small group of students in their final year of a Bachelor of Communications Design at Billy Blue College of Design. Students design, produce and promote the journal under the mentorship of experienced designers. Issue Two is all about “Design For Good”. Ligature Journal explores the whys, hows and wherefores of design with a conscience. As part of the design team, I created the illustrations, spread layouts, magazine wrap and promotion posters that are shown in this portfolio on the following pages.
With the illustration Good Design Factory, I want to deliver the message that a good design will not come to you like a flash of lightning. It’s much more about build up and hard graft. Your experience and inspirations will work together as a team in your mind helping you find out the best result.
As a part of the promotional material, this series of posters can be used on two different stages of pre-launch promotion. Letters seems random placed on the posters. With the Design For Good hashtag on the bottom, these posters will be posted together on the wall. Filled with curiosity, audiences cannot find any other information from it.At the next stages, those poster will be shown on the correct position. The name of Ligature Journal presents directly with the colour of Issue Two.
