BLOPE Lamp
The task of designing a lamp with essential lines and shape, with both direct and defuse light has led us to create Blope lamp. Blope is a combined or mixed words together "Blown Glass + Globe + Radial ).
The Design is mainly inspired by old handheld gas lanterns.
The cylindrical shape makes it suitable for any kind of interior designs but with a particular attention to contemporary atmospheres.
The decision of making smokey transparent glass and Professionally colored pottery rises from the necessity of focusing the direct light in environment while maintaining an indirect and defuse lighting not to be harmful for the eye.
The function follows the design and design follows the function emphasizing the aesthetic; the function makes the design itself distinctive and recognizable. The difference on the surface is admirable both visually and to the touch.
