I created this illustration on a Samsung Note 8 using the S Pen in Adobe Illustrator Draw. I did this illustration in the car and I was surprised how much control I had over the line weight in a moving vehicle.
Like I said, it's kind of like a self portrait, but not.
Lay down all of the black line work first on a single layer.
Add color individually to a new layer each time.
Continuing to work through color layers.
Final layer includes highlights to add depth to colored layers.
