In 2011, I created this video as we wrapped up development on All Blacks Rugby Challenge for the Playstation 3, XBOX 360, and PC. It was used both as a marketing video and included within the game as a standalone introduction of Rugby Union rules for anyone unfamiliar.
Based on an existing voice-over script, I conceptualized and designed the entire video, including the compositing, editing, and motion-graphic animation. The 3D character silhouettes and animations were taken from the game itself and rendered out of Maya.
I deliberately chose a clean, minimalistic style to (A) simplify visual explanations and to (B) ensure the rapid creation of art assets due to a very short deadline.
