This project evolved around the concept of illustration applied to spaces. The topic I chose was Freakshow and I created (mostly) decorative pieces aimed for spaces used by children; bedroom or playroom.

The pieces consisted of a puzzle, some prints and a set of three pottery jars. All the illustrations were inspired by the topic freakshow, combining bodies of animals and human heads or the other way around. The images are very circus-like and the colours a mixture of bright and pastel tones, adapting a usually creepy topic to a child-proof environment.
The pieces of the puzzle were made out of wood, laser cut and the borders hand-painted. The design was illustrated digitally and printed in adhesive vinyl, which made the assembling really easy.
This puzzle, which I consider to be the queen of the project, consist of three heads, three bodies and three lower-bodies. None of the combinations create an existing creature, so there can be various combinations and no way to get it wrong- or right for that matter.
