In the BA2 university project ‘Alternative Setting’ I experimented with concrete. Besides being a compositional practice and getting to know the material, it gave me the opportunity for a thouht-twist: it is not the ring that sets the ‘stone’, on the contrary, it’s the concrete that sets the ring and other pieces of material too, like cloisonné enamel, sponge, brass wire, or aluminium sheet.
