EDIT ON FEB 5TH, 2014: Can someone tell me where you guys are all coming from? There's been an absurd increase in traffic on this project and I can't seem to figure out why.
This work can be purchased at

Original shot from movie, horizon leveled.
Black and white and curves.
Convert to bitmap, 25dpi.
50dpi.
75dpi.
The 25dpi version was used for the skateboard since the 50dpi and 75dpi versions would have far too detailed to cut by hand.
A sense of scale.
The larger black parts are annoying to pull off.
Hand cut confetti.
40 minutes of cutting. Series of 10 second exposures. Assembled at 15 frames per second.
Gif made from a Vine, which can be seen here:
http://vine.co/v/bJWwFwKwlWj
The curved edges don't want to stay stuck down.
All that remains.
The last dot.
All done.
Ready to be sprayed.
Black on black.
Undressing.
Scraps.
