Looking at Baskerville Font through the eyes of an Artist.

While creating this poster, I found that I looked at font and typefaces more as an art, than a literal piece of information. I like the shape and design, much more than purpose. Through my designs I wanted to bring color to the form.

I admire John Baskerville, he was someone who could not read and if for not having an employer who saw his potential, he would have stayed a servant, working for someone else's dreams for years to come. He took giant steps forward and worked toward creating what he felt was "perfection".

Included below are some of the colors that I worked through as I came to my final design.
