A new quilt design in response to Quilting Arts "I've Got a Notion" Reader Challenge to illustrate a favorite quilting tool. I have chosen a paintbrush, because I love to combine my art tools with my quilting. Decided to try it out first in a digital format.
Chosen as one of twelve winning entries and featured in the The Quilting Arts December 2018/January 2019 issue.
Started with my "safe" colors (bright purple and blue) then tested some other colorways. Which one is your favorite?
Created the quilt. Chose the green and orange color way as a starting point. Adjusted the shadow so the paintbrush looks like it is being used instead of laying flat.
