Making The Case For King James

Making The Case For King James
Though not as well-loved as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson, there is no question Lebron James’ name should be mentioned alongside the greatest players of the game.  Sports writers and basketball analysts have constantly put James at the top of today’s greatest players.  James is also constantly in at least the top five of all-time NBA players’ lists.

Yes, unlike many so many highly-touted prospects, King James was never a bust.  He was a gifted athlete with the right physique.  When he entered the league in 2003, he proved right away he was for real.  As a rookie, he scored 20 points per game and was the youngest ever player in the NBA to hoist the Rookie of the Year trophy.

Over the next 14 years, Lebron won the NBA title thrice, twice with Miami and once with the Cavs, was voted the league’s MVP four times, was voted Finals MVP twice, and won two Olympic gold medals.

Lebron James may not be as charismatic as Jordan, Bird, or Magic, but his talent and skill are undeniable.  He has led his teams to the NBA Finals for 8 straight years and has led the league in efficiency ratings over the past few seasons.
