Ode to Ansel Adams

Project 3

For this project, I chose a leader in photography, Ansel Adams.
He is a 20th-century, black and white photographer on large format cameras. His work showcases black and white landscapes on large format film, engraving and paving the way to what we can now call U.S. National Parks. Above being a photographer, Adams was an environmentalist who aimed to protect and preserve the beauty of our parks, and his activism and showcasing of the beauty of our parks has helped us keep together what we still have today. From capturing images at Yosemite, the Tetons, Yellowstone and more, Adams really set the bar into what landscape photography can evoke.

In project 3, I had difficulties placing the information of the poster the most. I was hesitant wherever I placed text, as I did not want to distract the viewer from the composite itself, but I ended up with a solid mid-line composition. I think I could've done more by choosing text and text color more carefully, and this is definitely something I'll revisit and revise on my next try with this poster.
