Drawing inspiration from brands like Alexander McQueen & Camden seamstress 'Victoria Sin' I set about designing a purely embellished graphic.
After experimenting with buttons and, rivets amongst other things I decided that the most effective embellishment would be safety pins due to their ability to link, and overlap each other. With two shades and five different colours I then set about building them around the image of a skull. 1,600 pins later, I had the artwork for DROID.
