Bloodborne Portraits

The Beast Within
A few 11"x17" prints of my favorite bosses in Bloodborne.

I made these prints to sell in Artist Alleys at various anime, comic, and video game oriented conventions I attend.

I also took on digitally painting these prints because digital painting is one of my weaknesses. I wanted to get better by powering through and forcing myself to paint and experiment with subjects I knew I'd enjoy working on.
Father Gascoigne
This is the third print I worked on (first of the Bloodborne ones, though!). This very much proved to be a challenge because I tend to lean towards drawing female characters, so undertaking a painting with an older male character allowed me more practice.
Vicar Amelia
The fourth print! This one was more of a reprieve painting because I had only been painting male characters since the start and I enjoyed working on this. My biggest challenge, however, was deciding how to portray a character whose face was never shown.

Through some research and careful decision making, I decided to portray Vicar Amelia a bit more "untouched" or "pure" as these painting were meant to show the characters in transition to their madness.
Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
This painting was by far my favorite of all the prints I had done so far, during the process and the end result, and it's probably because I got to do a lot more detail work with his face. By this point, I started to enjoy painting a bit more but it also might have been because Micolash is a personal favorite (but Amelia and the Blood-Starved Beast are forever my #1 and #2 favorite bosses!).
