As a Typography student at the University of Akron in Spring 2010, we were assigned to design a book jacket for an upcoming publication by the University of Akron Press, tiled "Buckeye Battleground". This design is based on the troublesome "butterfly ballots" of the 2000 General Election: arrows that point to misaligned punch holes on a bright yellow strip. The "hanging chads" reveal text underneath; I wanted it to look like the book pages were visible through the punched holes.

The University of Akron Press selected my design for publication, and the book was published in 2011.
