Photoshop Final Project

Our first project was to make an image with our name on it. I took an image I had and placed a black and white adjustment layer over it and played with the setting and then put my name off to the side.
Here is a before and after of our second project: Ranch House. The goal here was to colorize the grayscale image on the left. To do this, I selected each area that I wanted colored, created Alpha Channels and made it its own layer and filled it with a different color as well as changed the opacity on the colors to make it look natural.
In this project, we had to use the Mixer Brush tool to make a photograph appear as if it had been painted. To achieve this, I selected the different colors of the tree and painted them over with a different shade of green to achieve the painting effect.
This project was making a postcard set for a location of our choosing. We had to use at least two images for it, to incorporate in the graphic, such as in the text or elsewhere. We had to make two of these, along with the backs.
For our midterm project, we made a TV Poster for a cheesy fake show. The main objective was to use many of the skills we had learned, primarily the extractions. I wanted to use mainly animals and do a sort of adventurous show, so I used a trail as the background and made them look as if they were on a journey.
Another project was to make selective color edits on different images. In this one I decided to make only the birdbath in color while everything else is black and white, which was achieved simply by selecting the bowl and subtracting the bird and then placing a Black & White layer on it.
One of our more recent projects was to change something physically about a person in three images, such as the eye color or facial features. In this image I changed her hair by selecting it and then placing a Hue/Saturation layer over it and making it pink.
