Central Bedfordshire College - Seeing Is Believing (Aurasma)

Seeing Is Believing, is an awareness campaign on the issues of Religion, Dyslexia, Cyber Bullying and Inclusion within Central Bedfordshire College.
// Directive
The Concept was to offer students a deeper experience than that of a standalone poster to show their content. The use of Aurasma would give students access to help on subjects that maybe concerning them, the posters would be there with advice, hiding in plain sight.
// Solution
The students of the Central Beds College created the concept and scripts for a series of videos on the subjects and Clearhead formed those ideas and scripts into four videos the College could utilise.
Aurasma was used on this project to allow the students to view the additional video content on their phones via a series of corresponding posters. This way, a subject that may sensitive for some can be contained to an individual's handset and not overtly displayed, with aurasma this allows information on a delicate subject to be made more widely available without being overpowering, the added 'double tap' feature enables a viewer to take the video with them with the function to replay as many times as needed for the viewer. This campaign was completely student centred, designed by students, for students, and keeping the audience engaged with the content by delivering it in a new and innovative way through aurasma was key to Central Bedfordshire College's want to reach out to its Faculty in an active yet non-direct medium.
"With this project it was instantly evident that the content would need to be handled sensitively. With subjects ranging from Cyber Bullying to Religion it isn't wise to force such information onto a viewer if you want them to engage with it and take notice. Aurasma was a perfect choice on this project, tied in with a poster campaign throughout the students social spaces we could hide content within each poster, accessible via a student's handset, hiding in plain sight."
