Print process book

The Print Process handbook was to show my end of the year skills throughout the class. Designers should be able to recognize the basic printing processes per their application. By participating in a sort of individual scavenger hunt to find actual samples, students will also use kinesthetic learning to reinforce the words on paper. Designing multiple pages via a consistent style will explore information delivery with design awareness. In other words, students will explore how to create a visually inviting handbook without distracting from the information.

I started out looking up books and the types of layouts they were in. I then collected my color palette and started to play around with layout. Once that was completed I started my quest for examples and definitions. I then compacted all the information into the book here today.

The process was very long but achievable. I struggled binding my book because of how big it is but its durable to say the least. The process was quite simple I designed an interesting layout and then gathhered my information to put within that layout. The longest part I would say is gathering all the samples needed and actually learning what they were.

I learned alot throughout this project. I learned I never want to bind my own book again because no matter how many tutorials I watched it still was not in my favor. My design for layout grew throughout this project. I found myself trying to change up the look of the layout constantly so it didnt all run together. I wnjoyed thi project very much but if I had to change one thing it would be to have the option for someone else to bind it because that was an extremely hard task.
