Sea Kayak Torbay Branding, Graphic Design and multimedia creation

A commission by Kieran Laureston to deliver a new company branding and design.

 

We worked together and took an organic approach and a high number of concepts were borne out. Finally after many revisions revolving around the contexts of the product. Kieran chose one of the more image heavy options out of these concepts.

The Logo above was also commissioned to help a deliver a punchier less wordy brand logo for its inclusion on retail items sold through his business, such as wet suits, waterproofs etc. This was one of the colour palettes I provided, and I made around 5.

Opening to a view of the sea from a kayak from one of their tours on offer. 

Sea Kayak Torbay needed a map of the bay but, from existing tourist information stock images and files, the choices were limited and did not cover the areas of interest in context to their tour. Hence the original and now very contextual map creation above.

In line with trends, A GIF was also commissioned for the website. I very oddly developed this in After Effects, but it was a fun and actually fairly fluid experience using it to create this type of media. It now sits on their website at the top.

Finally the image heavy logo was vinyl wrapped on to the company vehicle.
