They are the pictographs of the Chinese characters for twelve Chinese zodiac signs. At first l put forward a concept ‘re-pictograph’ which is created by myself. Re-pictograph is not the simplification. Modern Chinese characters change the complicated pictures into strokes. And re-pictograph is to give it pictograph again on the basis of simplified strokes, in order to look for the balance between pictures and strokes, remain the readability and increase the remaining. This is the design for the calendar which includes twelve characters. It is the effective use of re-pictograph.
