CANDLER PARK DRIVE NE IDENTITY | 2018
The project is an assignment for GDVX 702 in Scad Atlanta. We designed visual systems for communities and their blocks chosen by ourselves. Candler Park neighborhood is located in the eastern Atlanta and was originally founded as Edgewood in 1890. This community has some historical marks and many unique blocks. Candler Park Drive NE is the block I chose for this mini system project. This is a residential block, including an elementary school, a church, the Candler Park with a pool, and a golf court. This design is for enhancing the uniqueness of the block by providing an eye-catching identity.
A grid system is designed specifically for this project and every visual element is created based on this grid system. The grid system is also used for translating the realistic image into stylistic visual elements. This project experienced several class critiques and refined according to the feedbacks from classmates and the professor.
