Filmed in a remote area of Bulgan Province, Mongolia by Kirk French, my adviser and mentor at Penn State. This was a part of the Booze and Culture academic collective, which uses an anthropological lens to examine the role of alcohol all around the world in all aspects of life from everyday social interaction to ritual practices.

The footage was shot by Kirk French in August of 2017 in Mongolia and given to me for editing. Using Adobe Premiere Pro access through Penn State, I sorted through the hours of footage from both his DSLR and DJI drone. Along with this mountain of footage came a batch of audio recordings, such as the one used as the backing track to this video. Adobe Premiere Pro enabled me to efficiently and systematically go through all the media collected over Kirk's time in Mongolia.
