Create emotions without faces through body language

3. Generate Possible Solutions

Locations- A bridge or tunnel with dark light under, Beaches and ocean,

There are many possible options for this project. What I am think is a mask covering a person's face shrouded in darkness with one light facing the mask.

A person who is facing a wall that later after it is uploaded online I photoshop a new background over the image

A person who is swimming in the ocean with a snorkel on

A person on a sidewalk who is walking away from the camera

A person on the beach

A person who is spinning and using fire

4. Select AND DEVELOP Best Solution

I think that these all could be good ideas but I want to expand upon the person's face mask who was shrouded in darkness with a light directed at their face. I was thinking a person would stand in either a tunnel or at the end of a street under a lamp at night. I feel like this idea could express many different emotions and actions in a story.

Another Idea I have is a person swimming in a clear ocean or clear body of water with a light drop in the background. I think that this could impose an amount of positive emotions that would be a lighter tone relative the the later.

5. Model and Prototype (Create)

I tried to emphasize on different contrasts and light for this project while showing emotion I for example took a picture of a person in the water swimming away from the camera.

There however are many things I would change about these compositions for example on the ocean composition that I had I would have gone back and directed the light more towards the shoulder of the person.

Another thing I would change in my photos is the person who is wielding fire I would have directed the light more towards his lower chest area so I could include more of him in the photo and have more light.

On my fire photo I wish I could have used the fire to cover his face completely instead of trying to use the shadows in the photo.

6.Test and Evaluate

I played around with a couple of my images such as the person in the water and came up with multiple solutions that could have potentially worked
I found however that the original image was the best for this scenario since I feel it was the best image

The other image I thought also fit with What I was trying to do with the shadows blocking the face and the fire in the corner and I again found that the first image was better and fit better then the second
