For this project, we were tasked to make a website for just about any subject. I chose to make my website about sharks because I find them very interesting. After doing a bit of research I noticed many shark information websites were often cluttered and packed with quite a bit of information. I knew I wanted to make my site more calming and easy to read. Because of the short time we would be working on the site, I decided to narrow my subject down to specifically whale sharks.

I decided to use only images and icons in my design. I wanted the color to only come from the images embedded in the site. The text and icons would be either black or white. This was to represent the colors of whale sharks which are various shades of grey and white, while it is the ocean that is colorful. I chose to keep things simple to emphasize the lack of information scientists actually have on whale sharks. I wanted to inform the reader of the dangers posed to whalesharks and the little information we have about them.
