This piece is inspired by the colors and techniques used by the Maasai people from Kenya. I love the energy and liveliness of their beaded jewelry and therefore tried to transmit it in a more personal and contemporary way making a choker kind of collar. The colorful choker was woven on a handmade foam beading loom, while the light blue collar was stitched around a thin stick with a tubular peyote stitch.
