I use Adobe CC on Mac so all the keyboard commands are noted accordingly.
This tutorial is intended to be as beginner-friendly as possible, though it would be ideal if you already know your way around Adobe Photoshop somewhat!!
In it, I show you how to take your hand-made drawings and digitally turn them into to seamless patterns, after which you can apply them basically anywhere! It’s really useful if you have a Society6 platform, for instance, and need a seamless pattern that can be used in different formats.
In the first part, I cover the basics of how to prepare your file for easier handling – how to isolate the drawing layer, apply and structure your various colour layers, and prepare your canvas.
In the second part, I show you the actual process of making your pattern seamless, and how you can then apply it to different formats.
PS: the design is available for purchase on my Society6 page! :) http://society6.com/katjweiss
