Assignment: Show proficiency in Adobe Illustrator CS6 by recreating aspects of a restaurant in Savannah or the student's hometown. The student must create a logo (b&w and color), coasters, t-shirts (male and female), and gift cards. Students can use a maximum of three pantone solid coated colors (transparencies are permitted). Printing required.
Concept: Recreating logo and otherwise for a traditional Italian restaurant in my hometown, Il Capuccino. For the logo, I thought I would draw inspiration from something memorable and unique about the restaurant. I immediately remembered the beautiful shapes that the hanging raffia-bound wine bottles create along the ceiling. My color choices are similar to wine colors and the interior of the restaurant. I chose to use elements of the logo on the t-shirts, as they would be seen outside of the restaurant.
