For this brief I had to create a Self-Authored Zine in which the contents, imagery and text were completely origianal. A Self-Authored Zine is a nonprofessional and nonofficial publication produced by an illustrator/designer containing a internal personal narrative and expression of his/her personal interests, values and beliefs. I interpreted the places I have travelled to in the past few years as influences which formed an interpersonal knowledge of how I understand the world around me: a 'memoir'.
I created 'Things I realised on long walks' as an account of knowledge gained from exploring city streets with worn out sneakers and a sketchbook. In this Zine I aimed to portray specific, memorable moments on long walks which taught me five universal 'truths' about life.
