Innovative materials in architecture and design
   (book - visual research)

In the project the issues are discussed: what is the relationship
between architecture and design, what is the role of materials in general, 
and what makes the material be innovative.

The main part includes the research of five innovative materials 
and examples of the designers works, that demonstrate the ways 
of creating new and conceptual images.

   (книга - визуальное исследование)

В работе автор рассуждает на тему вопросов: чем связаны архитектура и дизайн, 
какова роль материалов в целом и что делает материал инновационным. 

Так же, исследует пять инновационных материалов и приводит в пример работы дизайнеров, 
которые демонстрирует способы создания новых и концептуальных образов.

For the cover the textured paper and epoxy resin were used.

The cover contains all the necessary information and remains in minimalism style.
You can see, for example, the author's name,which is used on the first page ( under the cover).

This was made possible by the reaction of this paper and resin:
the area under the resin became transparent.








 



Carbon fiber 
Carbon fiber came in the interior and product design from aviation and automotive industries.
The material is lightweight, tough and durable - these technical specifications give the new principles
of construction in architecture and unusual images in product design. 






Litracon (transparent concrete)  
The material was developed and patented in Hungary in 2001 by the architect Áron Losonczi
and was called litracon. The strength of translucent concrete allows to build load-bearing walls, 
and the transmitting light texture gives the unusual effect.






Resin
The history of synthetic resins goes back to the beginning of the last century. 
Nevertheless, the resin came to product design recently. Currently, designers
are continuing to experiment with this material, creating the unique things.






Laokoon  
The Material Laocoon - a new way of realizing design ideas. It was developed in 2002 in Budapest. 
Then, the eponymous brand Laokoon was created. The material properties are close to textiles. The graphic design and color toning can create unusual surfaces with the effect of snake skin, of the sea surface or bird feathers. Depending on the density and configuration of all the elements the material can be differently flexed.

 




Woodskin(flexible wood) 
The material was developed by Giulio Masotti and his team in Italy, and first presented in 2012
under the name WOODSKIN. Material is flexible and tough and has a wide range of settings:
you can change the angle of the chamfer, thereby regulate the deformation, change the wood thickness etc. 
Thus, it is possible to create the unique interiors and shape of the objects.
