Unique East European cupboard with beautiful details. Real vintage furniture with original glass. Carefully rescued from a shed. Refreshed, repainted, distressed and stained. All the chippyness and texture is made on purpose to get the cool chippy look. Hand painted with Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in "Bergere" (beautiful smokey blue gray) and Annie Sloan chalk paint in "Primer Red" and "Arles". Full matte. Beautiful texture of double layered paint with crackles and chippyness. All the scratches, crackles are made on purpose to create shabby chic, vintage style. Milk paint is old fashioned kind of paint which is made of only natural ingredients. Means non toxic, no VOC, kids friendly. Sealed with linseed oil and wax. Natural paint texture emphasized with dark wax.

I started to paint furniture for a very simple reason. I couldn't find any furniture that I liked and wanted to place at my home. I didn't want to fill my life space with generic, meaningless pieces from a large homeware retailer with a yellow blue logo... I decided to restore grandma style kitchen cupboards, heavy duty farm tables and cute little nightstands.
Besides graphic and industrial design I am also busy with painting furniture. I am crazy about textures. Textures of layered, chippy, flaky, peeling, distressed paint. Paint exposed to extreme weather conditions flakes, cracks, discolors and creates abstract piece of art. Art made by coincidence of sun, rain, frost, mechanical distortion and time. I am experimenting with all sorts of paints, techniques and various tools to achieve this amazing distressed look. My great inspirations: old chippy doors, industrial rusty signs, vintage advertisements, old stained paper, antique medical and botanical books.
