Female Gaze
I created the project „Female Gaze“ at the beginning of 2018. It’s a project on my personal view on feminism in three chapters. The project exists of 39 loose A3 pages with an A2 poster stuck around them. It’s color coordinated and has no page numbers, so you can create your own arrangement. Every page works as an own little A3 poster. I created the editorial design, the pictures and the illustrations as well.
I start with pink: this chapter is about supporting woman without insult other woman, self love and realizing what’s your own worth.
After pink, you are coming to red: it’s about sex, rape culture and being a sexual human being in the media.
The last chapter is yellow: in this one it’s all about strong woman, but stronger men behind them. It’s about being a strong individual woman in a society were you have to be everything and nothing at once. It’s about doing something for yourself without asking permission. It’s about giving a fuck.
I made the choice of not binding my project because while I was creating it I came to the conclusion that the topics are so loose and just at the beginning of really evolving in our society that it would be wrong to bind them together. You should build your own view on feminism and be able to compose your way the topics.
