I choose to re-design a lamp with the primary emotion of joy. Lamps are our friends during long sleepless nights. I gave my lamp primary emotion of joy because I believe that joy is what we need from a lamp when we are alone at night reading a book or preparing for next days exam.
There are countless definitions for joy but most of them includes laughter, colors, amusement and fun. I wanted to create a lamp that evokes these emotions in the user.
For my final idea, I was inspired by rainbow which is a natural phenomenon that gives everyone a smile when they see it. It is a universal representation of joy that you can observe from wherever you go.
