The Image of Buddha
During my sophmore year in my Digital Page & Web Graphics class at SCAD, I was proposed with a new project. A smiple coffee table book; however, my profressor decided to through in a little twist.
We were to choose three objects before we even knew that we were going to make said book. He then hinted at which object would be good to use for the project. I ended up choosing the minature statue of a Buddha, I knew it would have multiple backgrounds on how to design something and an extensive history. We were only allowed to design the book around the object, so not around Buddha. However if it aided in the discussion of the object then we may put some tid bits in. Over all, this project was thrilling, and scary... It was my first book design and first time really extensively using InDesign.
