Deconstructing A Saddle 
This is the original digital image that I drew with my iPad and an art app to have a clean and neat drawing of my saddle to take to the printer. With my tablet, I was able to add text rather than hand write the information. 
This is a short clip of the laser printer working on my saddle. I had the administrator set the laser to a high enough power to print the edges clearly, but not burn through the paper. 
This is the result of the laser print, it looked way too nice to not save a photo of it before I started adding the other elements.
(LEFT) The final result of the process. This was the first half of the diptych, all five techniques of mark making are replicable if need be.
(RIGHT) The final result of the process, minus one replicating technique that was replaced with a completely different technique and media. In this case, the variable is the blue marker line that replaced the traced overlay of the ribbon and bells.Unlike the overlay, the marker line cannot be duplicated due to it's organic nature. In fact, I did not make the line, my horse did.
