This was an assignment for my History of Design class. As you may see in the first picture, it was required to make an illustration or design of some sort, 8 1/2" x 11", that represented the subject assigned. My subject was the art movement Art Nouveau.

The quality of these pictures is due to the fact that my sketchbook is a bit too big for the scanner I own.

This was the first design I did. It was alright and I'm fond of the hair, but it wasn't Art Nouveau-y enough. So I changed a couple ideas and used a different color pallet and came up with the one below.
