Clinico
A 5 Day Design Challenge

A problem in the healthcare industry:
Patients forget to take their medication or mix up dosages and schedules. They need an iPhone app that reminds them to take the right medication at the appropriate time, based on the schedule set by the doctor (like once a day, after meals, etc).

SPRINT questions:
1. Can patients make appointment easily?
2. Can doctors assign a course of treatment easily?
3. Will the app help patients better following the doctors' instruction?

Final Deliverables:
Main UI use cases of the two apps with wireframes.
At least one screen in full UI, preferably iPhone app for patients.

Assumptions:
I assume that I am designing the app for a tech company who wants to launch a medical product helping doctor-patient communication. Clinics can join the platform and use this system. For the first step, they want to do a quick Sprint to test this idea with users to see if it can help doctor-patient communication.

Target Clients:
Clinics, small medical centers

Target Users:
1. Doctors - iPad
The doctor has an iPad app that he uses to assign a course of medication treatment.
2. Patients - iPhone
Patients are the public who visit the clinics. The app is used to facilitate doctor-patient communication and enhance the hospital visiting experience by integrating appointments, medication and personal info within one app.

Long-term goal:
Help clinics and small customer-facing medical organizations manage data and sync information with customers and easily communicate with them. Enhance patients' clinic-visiting experiences by integrating an appointment system, and a medication taking reminder system. Doctors can manage patients and organize data fast and easily through the system.
