Petrichor Entertainment Studios

Logo development for a new game company based in Arizona. Petrichor is a fairly recent word to describe the smell of the Sonoran Desert after a rain fall.

FINAL VERSION
It was clear that a game and entertainment company needed a logo in keeping with the industry. I didn't want to create a giant cliché or anything superfluous. I have included (what I believe to be) an interesting easter egg of sorts to anyone actually looking up the word. The symbol in the Hexagon is the Hopi symbol for rain and renewing of the desert. Some of the sources made mention that is was intrinsic with the smell of the desert.

The font is an augmented frankenfont pieced together from a similar set of styles. The inner texture was also deliberately crafted, not just lucky adjustments in the styles palette.
Early Iterations
An effort to keep it simple and open to interpretation.
Early Iteration
