"Tordenkiold" 1700s event

These illustrations were for a school project about a fictional event from Forsvarsmuseet (a museum on the norwegian military) and Akershus Festning (Akershus fortress) in Oslo.

The theme of this event was to be the 1700s in Scandinavia.
"Tordenskiold" was a Norwegian nobleman and eminent naval flag officer in the service of the Royal Dano-Norwegian Navy. He is well known for his services in the Great Northern War (1700-1721),  and he is one of the most famous national naval heroes in Denmark and Norway.
In the event we would be able to dress, eat and live like people from the 1700s, and you would be able to join in games and competitions themed around Tordenskiold and his adventures.

The illustrations were to increase the excitement and feeling of being in the time period. They would be used to promote the event, for prints, designs on merchandise as well as on diplomas for contestants.
