A looping technique created to give denim a softness reminiscent of the frills, ruffles and laces used in vintage Jamaican women's clothing.
Denim became one of the main fabrics in this collection because it is a staple in American fashion.
Collaging of masculine and feminine attire used as silhouette inspiration.
Prints were created through a mixture of the national flowers of Jamaica and America. They were then screen printed onto hand dyed fabrics.
Beadwork was developed to organically be interwoven with glass bead paint and subtlety highlight the prints.
