This was the final project for my 2017 Anatomy and Perspective class with Professor Wimmer in SCAD. We, as a class, were supposed to draw up some thumbnails that applied to different emotions we were trying to evoke in others through expression, pose, and color use. Mine were loneliness, fear, and sadness for my selected image, but depression and anxiety also feature as themes for me. My professor had the idea to make the canvas extremely tall instead of my initial concept of keeping it wide for the aspect of loneliness. It really helped with the feeling of sinking in this piece, like being at the bottom of a pit.
